Gingerbread Cookies

Hello! How are you doing? I'm doing great! In Italy we just had 4 days of Holiday and since I was in a very festive mood I decided to make cookies. And what says Christmas louder than gingerbread cookies? It was the first time for me to make these cookies and I followed this recipe. I didn't do gingerbread men, I did gingerbread Christmas trees and hearts LOL. I love the smell of spices in my kitchen and the taste too. Ley me know if you try this recipe. They turned out delicious!!! This is the result, see the picture!

Ginger & Cinnamon Cookies

Ciao! I'm starting to feel the Holiday spirit, and what screams holidays more than ginger cookies! I tried this recipe I found on the internet and they are delicious. Here's the recipe:

- 2 teaspoons of freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

- 230 gr of sugar

- 180 gr of butter

- 2 eggs

- 370 gr of flour

- 2 teaspoons of baking soda

- a pinch of salt

Mix the butter with the sugar then add eggs, ginger and cinnamon, and then the salt, flour and baking soda. Mix very well. Pre-heat the oven at 180°C. The dough will be very soft, divide it in as many pieces as you can the size of a spoon and put them in the oven for 10 minutes. Then put them on a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
