Japan: Tokyo and Kyoto

Hi everyone!
Two weeks ago I took a trip to Japan. It was 17 years since my first visit to Tokyo and I was so excited to go back and meet my Japanese friends again. These friends were my roommates during my college time at UCSD in La Jolla and we kept in touch all these years.
I went to Tokyo and Kyoto and it was amazing!
Tokyo is exactly how I remembered and it was my first time in Kyoto, it's fascinating with all the temples in the forest.
I flew with Japan Airlines which was a pleasant surprise, economy class is very spacious and food was really good.
In Tokyo I stayed at the Celestine Shiba, in Kyoto at the Granbell hotel, both highly recommended.
I really enjoyed strolling around the streets in Tokyo, eating delicious food and sweets and shopping of course. I found a silk yukata that it's absolutely amazing.
If you have a chance to visit Kyoto take your time to visit the temples and absorb the spirituality and peace that surround them.
I hope you enjoy the pictures below!
Love, Fede

Night Out in Singapore

Hi everyone!
I want to share a look I wore for dinner last weekend. Here in Singapore the weather is hot all year round so light tops and skirts are essential in the wardrobe. I don't think I have ever worn pants or closed shoes since I moved here from Hong Kong LOL. Sometimes I miss the seasons, but when last winter my family in Italy was complaining about the cold I was happy to be in Singapore.
Getting adjusted here is very easy and now that I have nice groups of friends I often go out for dinner and drinks to rooftop bars and enjoy this beautiful city. This look I wore to Jim Thompson, a really nice Thai restaurant in lovely Dempsey Hill.
Have a great weekend!!! TGIF!

Strange Bloom

Hi! I don't know if you heard it but in Hong Kong we had the strongest typhoon (Hato) of the past 5 years, it was very scary and the city suffered a lot of damages. Then we had a couple of good days, and now here we go again with another typhoon, right this moment when I am writing. Not fun at all. Anyway, we just stay home and be safe. Yesterday it was a beautiful day though, so I went to the beach and had dinner at this cool restaurant called Fish School in Sai Ying Pun neighborhood. The seafood was amazing!
I'm into midi skirts these days, I love how you can wear them with sandals for a night out or sneakers for a comfy but cute look. So this was my look for the night out, and I dared to wear a bold lip, the lipstick is by Estée Lauder, and the color is 340 Strange Bloom, I love it!
Hope your weekend was great! And have a good start of the week.

Truffle Dinner

Ciao! As I'm getting ready to move to Singapore I still find time to enjoy these last weekends in Hong Kong. This is what I wore for a night out with my girlfriends. If you live in HK or you plan to visit you should definitely go to Ciak restaurant and try their delicious truffle pasta. Add a glass of Barolo and it's perfection!
Have a great Sunday!

Summer In Italy And More News

Hi everyone! I just got back from almost 3 weeks in beautiful Italy. I couldn’t wait to hug my family again and have some relaxing time at our beach house. While I was there I had pasta pretty much every day and I was in heaven! Just what I needed before getting back to my life here in Hong Kong and getting ready for a new big change.

I’m moving to Singapore in October! I’m relocating for my job, and I can’t wait. I know Singapore pretty well and I love it, so hopefully it’s gonna be easier to adjust to my new life there. I enjoyed my year and a half in HK, and the friends I met here have become a second family to me, I couldn’t have made it without them.

At the same time this has been the most challenging period of my entire life. I think anybody who moved far away from everything can relate. The biggest challenge was being away when something bad happened back home. I felt helpless, extremely stressed out, and obviously sad and lonely. It definitely made me stronger, and more confident that I can really do anything and overcome anything. Going back home for the summer holidays helped me get my strength and positivity back, and feeling ready for the new chapter that is approaching soon. Singapore here I come!

Let me share with you pictures of the happy vacation! Have a great week!
